Are you thinking of living in Prospect, Connecticut, but don’t know where you should settle? In this episode of CT Life, I’m going to share three awesome Prospect neighborhoods that you’ve got to check out. We’ll look at the home styles and prices of each area so you can choose the one that best fits you.

 

Putting Green Lane

Every day, people moving here to Prospect, Connecticut ask us which neighborhoods we like. I can't pick one for you, but I can give you an insight into some of the top ones in the area. The first subdivision you’ll want to check out is Putting Green Lane. 

Putting Green Lane is located off of Straitsville Road. It's made up of approximately 70 properties on a 1.2-mile loop, with the first homes built in the early 1980s. There's a huge mix of styles ranging from colonials and ranches to everything in between. 

The last house that sold here on Putting Green was approximately 1,700 square feet, three bedrooms, and two baths on a full acre. It sold for $340,000. 

Cambridge Drive

The second neighborhood you want to check out here in Prospect, Connecticut is the Cambridge Drive area of town. Cambridge Drive is located off of Straitsville, the last left-hand turn before you get to Naugatuck. There are about 60 houses in this neighborhood, including two cul de sacs which are off of Cambridge. Those two cul de sacs are Yale Farms and Ivy Terrace. 

This subdivision was developed in the 1990s and early 2000s. The majority of the homes here in Cambridge are colonial-style. The most recent sale here on Cambridge was a four-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath on just over two acres. It was 2,800 square feet, and it sold for $550,000. 

One of the reasons people love living in the Cambridge Drive area is privacy. The lots are a little bit larger, and the demographic of the land makes it so you're not right on top of your neighbors. It gives you a lot of privacy. 

Blue Trail Drive

The next subdivision you’ll want to check out here in Prospect is the blue trail Drive area of town. It's about three miles long and includes Blue Trail Drive, Allison Court, Melissa Lane, and Luke Street. Blue Trail Drive is the oldest of these streets, and the houses were originally built in the 1960s. 

The other streets developed off of here later, including Luke and Melissa. They were built mainly in the 1980s. Allison Court came in and started building in the 1990s. This subdivision is located off of Matthew Street, which is accessible by route 68. It makes up approximately two and a half miles of roadways here in Prospect. 

The last home that sold here in the area was on Melissa Lane, and it was approximately 3,700 square feet. It was a three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath on one acre and closed at $499,000. 

Which Neighborhood Is Right For You?

I hope this gave you some insight into three great neighborhoods here in Prospect. Prospect has so many awesome subdivisions to live in, and we didn't even touch on a fraction of them. These include areas like Mikayla Lane, Giovanni Drive, and Southridge Road. There are tons and tons of places where you can put down roots and start your family here in Prospect.
